Digital Point Load Tester
The strength of rock can be quickly determined in the field on core or irregular
lump samples by using the Digital Point Load Tester.The frame, loading jack and digital readout are supplied as an integral unit mounted on the base of the carrying case. Loading pressures up to 13,000 lbf. (55 kN) can be applied to specimens as large as 4" (101.6 mm) in diameter.A scale mounted on the frame provides
specimen diameter information for use in point load strength index calculations.
